FAQ

Yes, you can make either hot tea or iced tea from any Maui Rainbow Tea flavor.

20 cups of hot tea or 3 quarts – 1 gallon of iced tea (depending on a flavor)

Hot tea: Add 1 level measuring teaspoon of tea into a tea infuser or strainer, steep in 10-12 oz of boiling water for 10+ minutes

Iced tea by the pitcher: Add tea leaves from 1 bag to a pot, add 2 quarts of boiling water, steep for 20-25 minutes (see the back label of each flavor for exact timing). Depending whether your tea bag makes 3 quarts or 1 gallon (see each flavor), add either 1 quart or 2 quarts of cold water. Strain into a serving pitcher, sweeten to taste, pour over ice and keep refrigerated.

Coffee maker: You can also make the tea in the coffee maker. Wash the carafe thoroughly to avoid coffee flavor in your tea. Place the tea into the filter. For hot tea, use 1 level measuring teaspoon of tea per 10-12 oz of water. For iced tea, use proportional amount of tea depending on the carafe size.

Maui Rainbow Tea is made of smooth and mild varieties of tea that don’t get bitter when brewed longer. Because our blends have real fruit in them, the longer your steep the tea the better the flavors is, generally. For hot tea we recommend steeping for at least 10 minutes or longer. For iced tea, we recommend 20-25 minutes depending on your preference and tea flavor (see the back label of each flavor for exact timing).

We have black teas (regular caffeine), green teas (low caffeine) and caffeine free teas (herbal teas, fruit teas and rooibos teas). See each tea product description page for caffeine content information. Caffeine content is also indicated on the front label.

Our tea is processed on shared equipment that uses tree nuts and coconut.
